CPR + AED

Combining practical first aid and theory, our accredited CPR courses will give you the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use a defibrillator (AED) on someone who’s unconscious and not breathing normally – be they an adult, child or infant.

  • Delivery options / Course duration

    • Express Courses have an online component that you do in your own time (it usually takes around an hour), and then a face-to-face session that takes 1.5 hours.

    • Standard Courses take a little longer (around 2.5 hours) as they’re delivered entirely face-to-face in class.

    Whichever option you choose, you’ll receive the same accreditation.

    We provide all training materials on the day, including:
    • Individual resuscitation mouth shield
    • Take-home booklet
    • First aid basics to help start your kit
    • Plastic wallet card certificate with CPR instructions
    • A4 colour certificate (PDF will be emailed to you following training)

  • Certification issued

    Successful students will receive a Statement of Attainment in:
    CPR HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

    You’ll receive an electronic certificate within five days of completing the course, and a hard copy in the mail soon after.

  • Certification validity

    Your certification will be valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.

    To remain certified you’ll need to undertake annual CPR refresher training. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you in plenty of time!

  • Everything else you need to know

    If you choose to do the express course you’ll need access to a computer or tablet (plus internet access) to complete the online component.

    There will be practical training and assessments at floor level, so please talk to us before you book if you have poor mobility or an injury.

    To pass this course you’ll need to attend 100% of the training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.

    Current health guidelines have been implemented to keep all attendees safe with deep cleaning and disinfecting of all equipment used.
